Gavan Hill Trailhead

Summary:

A short section of trail was improved to be accessible to persons with limited mobility. A bench is located at the end of the improved portion of the trail. Observation of the muskeg and some mountain views are possible from this location.

Distance and Time: .05 miles; 5-10 minutes (round trip)

Difficulty: Easy

Elevation Change: None

Route Finding: Easy

Trail Condition: Very Good

  • Accessible to wheel chairs.
Seasonal Notes

Spring

  • First flowers bloom in the muskeg, including bog rosemary, and three leaf goldthread.
Summer

  • Wildflowers are abundant.
  • Berries may be ripe along the trail.
